The Yoga class has become an exercise and movement-based activity, instead of important space and time for reflection on personal and collective growth. Many yoga teachers shy away from explaining the topic of yogic philosophy and teaching as Dharma talk and would rather simply give continuous instructions because of the demand and the pressure to execute a well thought out sequence.

I believe that it is important to hone the skill of weaving a theme into a sequence to guide educational and wholehearted classes as a yoga teacher. This immersion focuses on effective ways of sequencing towards specific body parts, a peak pose and emotional needs. We will also brainstorm and create possible themes drawn from yoga philosophy and teachings.

The practice of contemplation is encouraged in the space of learning. Reflection is a tool which helps you give a meaningful Dharma talk at the beginning of classes.

Themes include:
* Yamas and Niyamas from Yoga Sutra by Patanjali
* Teaching of Bhagavad Gita
* Non-dualistic yoga philosophy
* Tantric terminology and meanings
* Hindu gods and goddesses from the Tantric perspective

The maximum capacity is 10 people in this training. The learning experience is interactive and you will practice assists on each other while deepening your own Asana practice. Come learn and practice with Asami in this intimate setting.
